Crafted from 100% quarter-sawn Black Walnut, the Traditional is built for exceptional stability and resistance to cupping, bowing, and checking. Each stave is approximately 1″ to 1.25″ wide, allowing the rich color, figuring, and natural variation of Black Walnut to become part of the board’s character.
Its substantial weight creates a solid cutting surface that stays firmly in place during chopping, slicing, and carving. One side features a deep juice groove for meats and other foods that release liquids, while the flat reverse side provides a large, uninterrupted surface for vegetables, fruit, and everyday prep. Finger grooves on both ends make the board easy to lift, carry, and flip.
