1. Choose Your Product

Floating Shelves

Choose between our Display Shelves and Heavy Duty Shelves based on the size of the shelf, what you plan to put on it, and the amount of support your application requires.

From there, select your hardwood, finish, dimensions, and available options.

Not sure which shelf is right for you? Our product pages explain the differences between shelf systems, bracket configurations, available sizes, and weight ratings so you can choose confidently before ordering.

Cutting & Serving Boards

Choose from compact everyday cutting boards, reversible prep boards, carving boards, serving boards, and our massive Big Block designed for serious kitchen and meal-prep work.

Depending on the product, you’ll find options in Hard Maple, Black Walnut, Cherry, or combinations of complementary hardwoods.

2. Make It Yours

Customize Your Floating Shelf

Depending on the shelf you select, available options may include:

  • Length
  • Depth
  • Thickness
  • Hardwood species
  • Stain or finish
  • Edge profile
  • LED lighting channels
  • Wireless charging pockets
  • Cable-management features
  • Other specialty options

Unlike a shelf pulled from a warehouse rack, your TimeWorn Signature shelf is built around the selections you make when you order it.

Select Your Cutting Board

Choose the board design and hardwood that best fits how you cook, prepare, and serve. Each model has its own purpose-built features, which may include deep juice grooves, reversible work surfaces, integrated handles, one-piece integrated feet, contrasting hardwood inlays, or integrated stainless-steel prep and storage tins.

3. We Select & Prepare Your Hardwood

Once your order enters production, we start with the material.

We use premium solid hardwood and genuine reclaimed lumber rather than MDF, particleboard, hollow-core material, or wood veneer.

For our premium hardwood products, we place particular emphasis on quarter-sawn lumber. Quarter-sawn hardwood provides exceptional dimensional stability and greatly reduces the seasonal movement that can lead to warping, cupping, twisting, and cracking.

Because wood is a natural material, every board has its own grain, color, figure, and character. That’s not something we try to hide. It’s what makes your finished product one of a kind.

4. We Build It

This is where a piece of hardwood becomes a TimeWorn Signature product.

Our manufacturing process combines traditional woodworking with precision equipment and CNC machining to create features and tolerances that would be difficult to consistently reproduce by hand.

Floating Shelves

  • Selecting and matching hardwood
  • Cutting and milling the lumber
  • Gluing and constructing the shelf
  • Precision CNC machining
  • Machining the concealed bracket pocket and rod locations
  • Creating the selected edge profile and custom features
  • Progressive sanding and surface preparation
  • Applying stain or color
  • Applying commercial-grade acrylic polyurethane finish

The shelf and mounting system are designed together so the finished shelf fits tightly over the concealed steel bracket.

Cutting & Serving Boards

  • Selecting and matching premium hardwood
  • Milling and preparing the lumber
  • Edge-grain glue-up
  • Precision machining and shaping
  • CNC machining of handles, juice grooves, integrated feet, inlays and prep-tin openings
  • Progressive sanding
  • Application of food-safe Board Oil
  • Two protective coats of custom Board Wax

5. We Inspect, Package & Ship It

Before your order leaves our shop, it is inspected to make sure it meets our standards and matches the specifications of your order.

Then we package it for the trip to you.

Most products ship using standard parcel service. Large, heavy, or oversized shelves may require special handling or LTL freight depending on their dimensions.

When your order arrives, inspect the product and packaging promptly and keep the packaging until you’ve confirmed everything arrived in good condition.

If shipping damage is present, notify FloatingShelvesUSA within 48 hours of delivery and provide photos of both the packaging and product so we can address the claim.

Because every piece is made from real wood, expect natural differences in grain, color, texture, and character from the product photographs shown online.

6. Install It. Use It. Enjoy It.

Once it arrives, the fun part begins.

Built to Be Used.

We don’t build disposable products.

Our floating shelves are made from real hardwood and engineered around heavy-duty concealed mounting systems. Our cutting and serving boards are made from solid hardwood that can be maintained, refinished, and restored as it ages.

Both are made in Minnesota by people who work with wood every day.

You choose it. You customize it. We build it.
